EC-510 & EC-517, are effective scale controlling additives, combining electro-chemical and physical "blockage" to control formation of scale-forming crystals. These compounds are effective against both calcium and magnesium hardness minerals. In addition, EC-510 & EC-517 alter the crystal formation patterns of silica hardness minerals. Combined with a proper "blowdown" program, scale will not build up on heat transfer surfaces.
